Lois Cords became a signature style and look with the original Casuals, usually worn with rare adidas trainers.
What started out as a Spanish workwear brand in Valencia became a household name thanks to the rising casual movement and their desire for the finest threads. Drawing inspiration from the big American denim suppliers, brothers Joaquin and Manuel Saez Merino set out to create their own jeans. With football and tennis legends like Johan Cruyff and Björn Borg sporting the brand it wasn't long before the Lois ‘Bull’ logo was seen parading about on a new wave of dressers and the rising casual subculture. If you were an original dresser of the 1980s, chances are had a pair of Lois Cords.

Lois Cords became a signature style for the original casual movement with the early casuals adopting the style with expensive Italian sportswear and trainers from the continent. Opting for a more straighter leg as oppose to the out of date big flared look of the 70's, the casuals arguably gave the brand the name it still holds today. If the casual footwear department had its Trim Trabbs and Forest Hills, the trouser department was all about Lois Cords. From browns to blues and blacks its just that classic cords look which will always look good and continue to be apart of any die hard dressers wardrobe. Moving forward to modern day and each Lois style is still proudly manufactured in Spain with the same family members still involved in the production process.
